You will create value by being responsible for the development and maintenance of our customer and consumer-facing applications and services using modern tools, which create a great user experience. The checkout functions of the software platform are web-based, and we have created a unique virtual shopping cart that can be moved seamlessly between different shopping contexts such as Checkout (Point of Sale), Scan & Pay, Self Checkout, Self Scan, Order Status and more.
Team
At Focalpay, you will work with a diverse and vibrant team consisting of retail and technology experts, with a sharp focus on our product and UX. You will collaborate closely with employees across all areas of the company, as we’re convinced close collaboration is the key to success. Our employees that work in the customer experience team (which you will be part of) are responsible for creating a seamless delivery to our customers and end consumers, for all POS and consumer products. At the heart of our work is understanding our customers' challenges and working together to create the most user-friendly, secure software on the market.
About you
We are looking for a senior engineer with 3-5 years of work experience. A skilled technology expert with retail experience who loves to code and work on advanced problem solving. We see that you are an innovative person who enjoys working with challenging technologies and is open to learning new things. You are a good communicator and enjoy working both individually and in groups.
At Focalpay, we value forward-thinking individuals who enjoy learning new things, and this is probably one of the greatest assets of our employees. We also see that you have the following:

• At least 3-5 years of work experience as a Frontend Engineer in tech.
• Knowledge of Java Script, Vue, Vuetify, Electron, Capacitor, React, Redux, React native.
• Experience in developing and maintaining robust purchase flows and order management systems.
• Familiar with Composition APIs within a micro-frontend architecture.
• Ability to work with UI test automation (Cypress).
• Knowledge on how to integrate features such as promotions, sales, discounts, and coupons into both W-commerce and e-commerce platforms.
• Ability to integrate to a variety of systems, including, but not limited to, peripheral hardware, and various payment gateways.
• Experience developing responsive, high-performance applications using reactive programming and SOLID architecture principles.
• Knowledge in building and maintaining large-scale mobile and web apps.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to come up with long-term, innovative and safe solutions.
• Experience of working with an agile development methodology.
• Ability to feel comfortable making decisions and taking initiative .
• Experience working in the retail field.
• Knowledge of Linux, microservices meritorious.
• Fluent Swedish and English speaker.
• Based in Stockholm, Sweden.
