Market Area Development Manager (MADM) Capital Goods, Northern Europe
De Laval is now looking for a Market Area Development Manager, Capital Goods for Northern Europe, reporting to the Vice President Market Development & Sales Support, Capital Goods, EMEA. Northern Europe being Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland.
Purpose of role and key responsibilities
As MADM you will manage and lead a team of Market Solution Managers (MSM) in Northern Europe. The objective is to ensure the implementation of De Laval’s strategy for the Capital Goods portfolio in Northern Europe.
As part of the Market Area Management team, you will align different entities in the Northern Europe on topics involving commercial launches and sales activities. By interacting with sales and technical teams and other support functions you will contribute to develop a profitable business and reach the financial targets for Northern Europe.
You will oversee the Market Area Solution Management team in terms of recruitment, coaching and people development.
With your team, you will lead the overall business development for Capital Goods in Northern Europe and coordinate your efforts with the Market Area Management team. You will also lead the generation of the Market Area Marketing plan, together with the Market Area Marketing Manager: coordinating product launches, commercial trainings and commercial incentives in Northern Europe.
We also expect you to lead the pricing activities of Capital Goods for Northern Europe.
The role can in the future contain Cluster EMEA responsibilities in terms of project and product management lead of selected parts of the Capital Goods Portfolio. This includes being the main speaking partner for the Product Management & Development teams and the two other Clusters, Asia / Pacific and Americas, for product launch planning, scope definition and execution of the selected Capital Goods portfolio.
Qualifications and experience
To be successful in this role we see that you have / are:
- Experienced Manager
- University Degree in engineering, agriculture or equivalent experience
- Customer/marketing mindset and the ability to effectively communicate this perspective within the company
- Self-motivated/starter, who takes ownership of the business
- Working through and with people in a cross-functional manner, be a good team worker
- Effective priority management skills – able to prioritize between conflicting demands
- Training capabilities
- Efficient Planner
- Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language
- It is a plus to have product/project management skills

Additional information
The position will be located in Tumba in Sweden or Kolding in Denmark, travels within the Market Area and Europe will be part of this position.
