Material Handler is responsible for physically handling of incoming and outgoing material to meet customer expectations. Control and handling of goods is done in accordance with current procedures and rules. All moves are made to existing transactions in our business system (SAP).
Material Handler is also responsible for maintaining good inventory. See too that all documentation and goods is handled with high level of control and excellent execution in a timely manner.
This position is part of the Logistics department and will be located in Brunna, Kungsängen, Sweden. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Physical goods receiving, arrival control and put away.
- Physical picking of goods and loading of trucks.
- Physical re-packing and re-labelling of goods.
- Communicate and interact with other departments internal and external.
- Adhering to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures.
- Ensuring orders are correctly received and put away in time.
- Ensuring orders are correctly picked and shipped in time.
- Ensures that materials are verified against pertinent documentation.
- Incidents must be reported promptly to direct supervisor.
- Keep all warehouse areas audit and 5S ready at all time.
- Organizes and conducts all required training activities for warehouse department.
- Adhering to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
- High school degree (or equivalent experience) with 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel required.
- Forklift driving license (TLP10) and experience of driving forklifts.
- Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple and changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge and skills:
- Strong team player, open minded and able to adapt to changing work processes.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Working and understanding of WMS system, Advantageous if knowledge in SAP.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods (ADR).
- Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving work.
- Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Great attention to details and quality.
- A burning interest in warehousing and logistics.
