About the Role
As the Seed and Trial manager your responsibility will be assuring seed supply of own varieties to the Nomad Foods production’s sites (from elite seed maintenance and seed multiplication in, processing, packing and delivery to factory/processing site) and trial site availability and trial management quality in Sweden. Reporting to the head of Research and Sciences Agriculture and contributing to development of our Agri operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Retrieving information/communicating with internal production sites/raw material suppliers to plan for required seed volumes, variety distribution and other seed related specifications.
• Arrange seed production on farms - communication to seed growers, contracting, field suitability assessment, support for recommendation for cultivation and conducting seed field inspections.
• Organising seed treatment, handling seed storage, and arranging logistics and distribution of seed to the production sites.
• Retrieving information/communicating with state authorities seed on seed standard requirements (e.g. ordering seed testing, export/imports permits etc.).
• Arrange variety evaluation and breeding selection trials (e.g. contracting, field suitability assessment etc.).
• Practical support in trial establishment, maintenance, and harvest work.
• Documentation of information on seed production/trial fields, seed movements etc. and internal accounting for seed received and dispatched.
• Handling of payments for seed production processing and transport.

Your profile

• A degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in seed production and trial management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A passion for sustainable agriculture and innovation.
• License to use means of crop protection.
• Driver's license (B, BE) and experience operating agricultural machinery.
• Ability to travel once a month mainly within Sweden and Europe.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
