What you can expect
Based on your background and preferences, you’ll join one of our companies to work on a project in key areas such as Software Engineering, AI development, and Business development. From day one, you’ll be an essential member of your assigned team, contributing to strategically important projects to drive our company forward. You'll gain an inside look at how advanced technology solves real business problems and creates significant value for society.
You excel at seizing opportunities by taking on challenging projects related to our core products, including refining business models, optimizing product packaging, analyzing complex datasets, and participating in M&A activities. Additionally, you thrive in optimizing and streamlining internal processes, consistently seeking ways to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
Who we’re looking for
As a Summer Intern, you’re a third or fourth-year student eager to dive into real-world experience at one of Europe’s largest software companies. You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics, AI, Business Administration or similar. You have a commercial mindset and are eager to join us on our mission to improve the work-life of millions of people around the world with our software.
You’re a critical thinker who excels at solving complex challenges, asking insightful questions, and challenging the status quo. Whether you have a passion for coding and innovation or aspire to lead future tech projects, you’re a self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a team. Plus, you have strong communication skills in both written and verbal Swedish and English.
Internship details
The internship runs from the middle of June until the first week of August 2025. You’ll have two weeks off in July for the holiday break.
This programme is international, so for the first week, all interns from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden will be together in Oslo. This will give you a chance to get to know each other and Visma, meet your colleagues, and participate in both informational courses and fun social activities! After that first week, you’ll start your project period in your home country.
During your internship, you’ll work with real projects, so the goal is for us to continue your work after the summer is over. You’ll work in international teams and be given a high level of responsibility, while being supported by experienced colleagues. We’ll do our best to put you on a project that aligns with your competence and interests.

Instead of a traditional cover letter, we want to know: Why do you want to spend your summer as an intern in Visma, and what are the key strengths you'll bring to the programme? Share your thoughts in a paragraph or two, approximately 100-150 words. Don't forget to upload your CV and higher education grade reports; screenshots of grades are okay if official reports aren't available.

Once you apply, get ready to complete some ability tests. If we think we are a great match, we'll invite you to a digital interview. The final interview, including a case study, will take place at our office in Stockholm.
