Senior Data Engineer

About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Gothenburg. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and implementing robust data solutions to support our growing business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create and optimize our data pipelines, build scalable architectures, and ensure seamless data integration across various platforms. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into data warehouses and analytical platforms.
- Build scalable, efficient, and reliable data architectures that support complex data workflows and large-scale data processing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement data quality frameworks to ensure high accuracy and consistency of data across systems.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and scalability using SQL and No SQL databases.
- Work with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS to deploy, monitor, and manage data infrastructure.
- Develop, test, and deploy code using Python, Java, C#, or similar programming languages to support data integration and transformation needs.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to enable advanced analytics and reporting capabilities.
- Stay updated on emerging data technologies and recommend best practices to improve data processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- 3-4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on data architecture and ETL development.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and No SQL databases.
- Familiarity with Data Warehousing technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Apache Kafka.
- Experience working with ETL tools like Informatica or Apache Nifi.
- Ability to work effectively in both Swedish and English, as these languages will be used in daily communication with colleagues and clients.
