Senior Finance Specialist

The Senior Finance Specialist is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day finance and accounting for Manta Sweden, as well as providing financial analysis, forecasting, internal and external reporting inline with Group HQ and external deadlines.
Reporting Cycle, Planning & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external reporting
- Ensure company compliance with payment, reporting, and other legal/accounting requirements
- Monitor and forecast capital expenditure by engaging in discussion with project managers
- Inventory management and control, reconciling goods received to supplier advances
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, analysing variances to actuals
- Coordinate local annual audit, providing audit evidence to the external auditors as required
- Invoice processing - scanning, distribution, posting
- Payment processing - prepare weekly vendor payment file
- Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate and execute cash transactions, including wire transfers, ACH payments, bank integration, and verify disbursements
- Ensuring compliant onboarding of Suppliers in ERP system
- Ensure an updated list of bank authorised signatories is maintained
- Calculate and record entries for interest on loan
- Provide inputs to the short-term cash flow file
- Manage relationships with local banks and financial institutions
- Assist in the bank KYC procedure
- Manage local bank accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date account information and reconciliations
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve issues and address inquiries
- Identify and implement improvements to internal processes for increased efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations
- Assist with the audit of the entity and provide support to the Group audit
Internal Relations: Technology & Engineering, Human Resources, IT, Operations, and Supply Chain departments.
External Relations: Local Tax authorities, Advisors, Banks, Suppliers and Auditors.
Requirements
- ACA / CIMA / ACCA / CA / CPA Qualified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- English speaking, Swedish/Norwegian language is an advantage
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Detail-oriented and demonstrates a “can-do” positive attitude
- Ability to work independently, problem solve and identify solutions
