Senior Regulatory Engagement Manager in Sweden

The relevant candidate will join our Regulatory Engagement team, a part of Group Compliance, where we act as the point of entry for the regulators, in particular financial supervisory authorities. We are 16-team members that operate internationally across all Danske Bank business units and jurisdictions. As part of the team you will help define, maintain, and enhance the framework for and manage the bank's interactions with regulators.
We are looking for a Regulatory Engagement Manager to manage the relationship between Danske Bank Sweden branch, the locally supervised subsidiary Danske Hypotek AB and the Swedish regulators. As an expert in the local regulatory framework, you will support supervisory dialogues, commitments, and participate in supervisory engagements to ensure the bank continues to provide transparent and high-quality information, meet the regulator’s expectations and maintain our good relationship. Your key stakeholders will include Swedish country management, the local risk organisation as well as senior management across the bank who will all rely on your advice, support and sharing of information. Support and sparring will be close as we prioritise collaboration, integrity, and fostering an open dialogue to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Manage the relationship between Danske Bank Group and Swedish regulators
We seek a collaborative individual who works well both independently and across the Danske Bank Group. As this is a role that focuses on interacting with regulators, you enjoy aligning on the Group’s interactions with regulators by advising on regulators’ expectations on specific engagements as well as maintaining the good relationship between Danske Bank Group and the regulators in close collaboration with responsible leaders, employees, and external stakeholders. A suited candidate will therefore enjoy creating and maintaining relations with many different stakeholders and is comfortable with handling complex tasks and topics across different risk areas and functions.
Qualifications for this role:

Relevant academic background.
Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
Knowledge of Swedish and European financial regulation.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience and a good understanding of financial crime, regulatory compliance and risk management.
Proficiency in interacting with a diverse range of colleagues and external stakeholders.
Working experience from an authority such as the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority or the Central Bank is an advantage but not a pre-requisite.

A prerequisite for employment is approved security clearance in accordance with Swedish Security Protection Act (SFS 2018:585) with associated regulations. (Sw.
