Job Description:
- To carry out service and inspection of Life saving applinaces, firefighting and lifting equipment according to relevant legislation and be the face of Marinspect when working on the ships.
- To prepare for jobs and to ensure that spare parts are available and other requirements are met.
- To report to the service coordinator and the customer when the job is completed and when/or problem occurs.
- To report to the service coordinator any incidents, near misses, anomalies, deviations, discrepancies in the job preparation, job execution, documentation or communication.
What do you need to be successful at our company?
- Practical background as a mechanical technician/engineer. Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical experience is also a merit. Focus laying on the mechanical.
- Experience in the marine field is also very beneficial, but not mandatory.
- Your primary workplace will be in Landskrona (Sweden), so ideally you should live relatively close to our service station, but you need to be able to travel in Sweden and also around the world since you will work on ships globally. As the industry uses English as the working language, you need to have good knowledge of the English language, both oral and written.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Working at heights and heavy physical work is not rare.
- Driving license B is required. Higher qualification is a merit.
- You will sometimes need to be able to work weekends and nights and to go on a job on short notice.
