As an intern, you will actively contribute to SEI’s social media strategy, promoting research on climate change, sustainability, environment and health to a global audience.

Key tasks include:

• creating text and visual content
• engaging with audiences
• analysing social media performance

You will also collaborate with researchers and communication experts, gaining hands-on experience in strategic communications. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in digital communications, social media management and content strategy.

Who you are

The ideal candidate is a student in communications, digital marketing, media studies, or a related field with a passion for sustainability and climate action. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills in English, a keen eye for detail and an understanding of social media platforms like Linked In, You Tube, X or Facebook. Familiarity with video content creation and graphic design is a plus.
You are proactive, creative and able to work independently and as part of a team. You should also have an interest in global environmental challenges and understand how communication plays a role in addressing these issues.

Skills and experience

• enrolledin a bachelor’s or master’s program in communications, digital marketing, media studies, or a related field.
• fluency in English
• familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
• basic understanding of social media analytics and digital marketing metrics
• experience or interest in content creation, including graphic design, video editing, and/or writing for digital platforms
• strong organizational skills, creativity and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
