Job Description

ADM’s global Nutrition business is represented by Human Nutrition, Health& Wellness and Animal Nutrition divisions. The Health & Wellness R&D teams are present worldwide and focus on developing cutting-edge technological and science-based products.
The successful candidate will report to the Health & Wellness R&D VP and will be based in Switzerland. The candidate will lead and manage the Health & Wellness R&D labs to deliver on project pipeline and accelerate the discovery and development of innovative and science-based solutions, strongly linked to Microbiome, for pets and livestock.

Your Responsibilities:

Manage the R&D center to deliver best-in-class science-based solutions linked to Microbiome for pets and livestock in alignment with business priorities
Ensure appropriate health and safety protection following laboratory and safety guidelines and local regulation
Team management and development: set goals and objectives, monitor progress and performance and support personal and professional development
Ensure deployment of safety and quality highest standards (SOPs, monitor the quality system, support the LIMS workflow and address deviations)
Maintain a strong collaboration between departments to optimize operational efficiency, use of resources and project lead times
Organize and participate in customer visits and internal/ regulatory audits.
Monitor technology, policy, legislation and regulatory developments in the region
Build and maintain excellent relations with external and internal partners

Your Profile:

Ph D in science (microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or similar) or engineering (bioengineering, biochemical engineering etc.)
10+ years experience in managing an R&D lab and/or center. The ideal candidate would have experience in the microbiome field, Health & Wellness of animals/pets, and/or QHSE deployment & management in an BSL2 environment.
High organizational and reporting skills, with strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
Successful management and leadership experience
Strong capacity to work with cross-functional teams
Travel up to 20% of the time, Domestic and International
