Foundry Yield Engineer

Foundry Yield Engineer plays a critical role within external manufacturing team. This position is responsible for foundry technology roadmap, new technology enablement, and new product introduction of foundry. You are expected to understand and influence foundries' technologies to enable onsemi's revenue and margin growth. Position will partner with lead foundries and current and future technologies including, MOSFET, BCD, advanced CMOS, and image sensors. You will collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute foundry technology strategy to ensure adequate technology and competitive pricing for onsemi's products.

- MS degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry Engineering, Material Science or related area. Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with semiconductor technology development, fab integration, product engineering, foundry management in IDM, foundry, fabless companies.
- Flexible in local travel (frequent around Taiwan area)
- Responsible for managing the front end wafer foundry product yield improvement and for new product development which includes design and device development support.
- Manage foundries to monitor, analyze yield related activities, and drive yield improvement projects for onsemi business needs.
- Ensure foundry support for all necessary yield engineering and functions. Also communicate with internal supporting teams to leverage resources to support on this role.
- Require the ability to effectively engage with the internal business units as well as the solid capability and knowledge of yield analysis skills and wafer process to make the efficient yield enhancement.
- Effectively utilizes common engineering technology and software packages for optimization of process parameters and development activities and timelines to ensure rapid implementation.
- Manage internal technology needs for new engagements and new technology introduction. This includes managing all new technology introduction needs, including shuttles, tapeouts, IP merges, masks, and foundry schedules, as well as, enabling new technology joint development in external foundries.
- Self-driven, motivated, and excellent in problem solving skill with exceptional analytical and persuasion on directions.
