General Ledger Accountant

About the Role: We are looking for a GL Accountant to join our Accounting Team. In this role, you will be performing accounting tasks in collaboration with internal stakeholders. You will be conducting audits on the accuracy of our financial information, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to regulations, and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
This role will be located in a Gore facility in Taipei, Taiwan.

This role will be located in a Gore facility in Taipei, Taiwan.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the integrity of all financial records in accordance with Local GAAP and tax law as well as US-GAAP, including collaboration with the business and Financial/Accounting leadership both locally, regionally and globally
- Perform month end / quarter end/year end closing, prepare monthly financial statements in an accurate and timely manner
- Perform daily account/finance operational activities, and review bank transactions and payment
- Ensure appropriate accounting in areas such as reconciliations, revenue recognition, valuation together with analysis of fluctuations
- Lead financial policy enforcement, monitors internal control environment, ensure corporate governance is in place and comply with Perform annual audit and tax return and liaison with external auditors
- Perform GL/AR/AP/cash flow/intercompany transactions for office operation need, responsible for account reconciliation for both US GAAP and local GAAP at period end Perform the Fixed Assets Accounting
- Work closely with global tax team to handle tax authority's query related with corporate income tax or Transfer price concern
- Analyze divisional business outlook and conduct presentation to stakeholders when required, able to works directly with different functions of the organization
- Look for ways to globally align, standardize and improve processes across all APAC entities as a member of the Accounting Team
- University graduate in Accounting or Finance
- Relevant work experience (minimum 5 years) in an international company and minimum 3 years experience in GL and Tax function
- Technical accounting knowledge: Excellent knowledge of trading company accounting, manufacturing accounting experience is a plus
- Solid understanding of Taiwan local statutory accounting requirements and tax regulations, and US-GAAP knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, advanced Excel and experience working with ERP systems such as JD Edwards and SAP
- Fluent in English
- Keen to take initiatives and a team player with high service-orientation
- Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international team environment
- CPA is a plus
