About the Role
As Head of Transaction Banking, Taiwan you will be responsible for the leadership, end-to-end business management, profitability, risk, governance and people leadership for the Transaction Banking (TB) business in Taiwan. You will also be responsible for regulatory and internal ANZ obligations associated with the position.
You will have direct responsibilities include leadership of the country TB sales teams in Taiwan, including developing and executing business across Payment and Cash Management (PCM) and Trade and Supply Chain (TSC), aligned with our Institutional business strategy.
With your strong people and industry leadership skills and experience, you will drive and grow TB’s market position in Taiwan through effective collaboration with stakeholders, whilst maintaining direct oversight for the delivery of TB solutions to our clients.
You will bring together capabilities and strong knowledge of customers, sales execution, risk management and people management.
This role is a Senior Manager under the Taiwan Accountability Map Regime to oversees the management and execution of Transaction Banking business activities within ANZ Taiwan.

What will your day look like?
As Head of Transaction Banking, Taiwan you will:
Lead the sales teams to achieve and deliver the targeted growth in financial performance and profitability metrics.
Drive sales momentum and customer pipelines for new revenue and growth across new and existing customer relationships.
Build network (catch and throw) revenues for ANZ and TB, working with a “total effort sales” mindset to maximize revenue and profitability for the ANZ network.
Meet all aspects of financial plan, including balance sheet targets (Revenue, ROE%, NIM%, ZCEP, Liabilities and Assets).
Drive effective sales planning and execution, including pipeline management, account planning, RFP/RFI responses, in close collaboration with Coverage.
Lead a ‘client-centricity culture’ through collaborative account planning with Coverage / Segment heads and wallet-sizing exercises and implement active calling programs.
Make sound based decisions based on quality analysis on a timely basis with accuracy in risk grades in line with Group Risk principles and policy.
Improve the bench strength of the team ensuring all individuals are appropriately skilled to undertake their existing roles and provide opportunities for people to develop.
Implement and manage Risk & Controls in line with TB guidelines, policies and procedures.
Ensure ongoing vigilance for all aspects of robust management of non-financial risk (NFR) across Taiwan.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Solid experience in Transaction Banking, coupled with experience in a leadership role.
Deep understanding and knowledge of Transaction Banking, structuring PCM solutions for Institutional customers, competitor landscape, and the market.
People leadership, influence and change management through, cross team collaboration and shared purpose across sales, product businesses.
Proven understanding of strategy, governance, compliance, risk management, control and regulation.
Experience in international business environments.
Knowledge and proven application of financial and operational theories, models and practices, including process optimisation.
Growth mindset and deep understanding of emerging technologies including future regulatory changes.
