As a Product Design Engineer, you will design and evaluate systems, identify product requirements and contribute to research and project planning.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.

Our Platforms Team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google's services. As a Mechanical Engineer you design and evaluate our data center systems, identifying product requirements and contributing to research and project planning. Responsibilities

Apply design, engineering, and technical expertise to influence cross-functionally and deliver reliable mass production components, and solve time-sensitive problems.

Anticipate and address product design issues or risks, analyze data, and validate product design to suggest or implement design improvements.

Manage the product design, provide guidance to team members, and communicate progress, and request feedback to prevent/remove roadblocks.
