Weekend Online ESL Teacher

工作內容
Responsibilities:

General English Courses:
- Teach English online to both adult and young learners, mainly focusing on spoken English.
- Use materials from course books by prestigious publishers, like Oxford University Press.
- Prepare lessons thoroughly and provide written feedback after class.
- Occasionally teach courses preparing Taiwanese students for high school or university entrance exams.

Premium Courses:

Well-performing teachers will be considered for higher paying premium courses including:
- Adult speaking course from Oxford.
- Business English course from Cambridge.
- IELTS preparation course from Barron’s.

Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL:
- CEFR C1 or higher English proficiency.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 1 year ESL teaching experience.
- A TESOL/TEFL/TESL certification or a degree in education/TESOL/ESL.
- Familiarity with a range of relevant course materials.
- A high level of linguistic awareness.
- A high level of computer skills.
DESIRABLE:
- CEFR C2 English proficiency.
- Online English teaching experience.
- DELTA or CELTA trained and certified.
Teaching Hours:
- Saturdays & Sundays (Taiwan Time, GMT+8):
Sat. 08:30-09:15 / 09:30-10:15 / 10:30-11:15
Sun. 08:30-09:15 / 09:30-10:15 / 10:30-11:15

Salary and Benefits:
- Training and all classroom materials provided.
- For teachers that meet our requirements and show demonstrable pedagogical knowledge in a 1-on-1 interview, our new standard rate for General English classes goes up to USD 18 per 45-minute session, including bonuses.

Job Summary:
As the leading provider of online English classes in Taiwan, Tutor ABC works with English teachers across all time zones to cover our classes, which we offer 24/7 to both adults and juniors. We are seeking teachers for 2 types of English courses: (1) General English, and (2) Premium classes. Teachers may specialize in 1 type or both. We provide teachers with comprehensive training packages, and prompt feedback, fostering real-person communication to ensure teachers feel well-equipped and supported.
