Job Description
Sheladia Associates is seeking a professional Contract Specialist to join our team for a USAID funded Harvest Activity project in Kyiv, Ukraine.
This project aims to support grain and oilseed farmers, including marginalized and underserved groups, to return production and income for target commodities to at least pre-war levels while improving production efficiency and profitability and position farmers to market their crops more successfully and profitably in the wartime context. An important component of this project is the rehabilitation and improvement of irrigation systems in the various parts of the country.
The Contract Specialist will support Sheladia's team in preparing contracts for services and equipment related to irrigation improvement civil works.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics or business administration (master’s preferred) or a comparable discipline.
• Experience in preparing contracts for services and equipment for irrigation schemes in developing countries on projects funded by USAID, EU, World Bank, ADB or other international donors.
• Demonstrable communication, reporting, creative problem solving, and management skills.
• Prior experience working in post-conflict settings with similar conditions to Ukraine is highly preferred.
• Prior experience with rehabilitating Soviet era irrigation schemes a plus
