International Accounting Intern

Mac Paw is a software company that develops and distributes software for mac OS and i OS. Today, our products have more than 30 million users worldwide.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive student or a recent graduate in the field of Finance/Accounting to join our internship program. As an International Accounting Intern, you will assist with bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, processing primary accounting documents, month closing participation (expenses part), and working with external auditors. Essential tasks include verifying invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records. You’ll also collaborate with various departments to resolve documentation issues and ensure compliance. On top of that, you’ll have a great opportunity to gain experience in direct communication with BIG4 auditors.

In this role, you will:

• Assist in reconciling bank statements with the company’s accounting records to ensure accuracy in financial reporting;
• Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification, payment processing, and following up on outstanding receivables;
• Collecting, verifying, and processing primary accounting documents such as invoices, paybills, and work completion certificates;
• Entering data into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with records;
• Preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders based on their requests;
• Working with accounting documents following legal requirements (sign, sent by request etc.);
• Assisting in the preparation of documentation for tax audits and other audits;
• Collaborating with other company departments to gather necessary information and resolve issues related to primary documentation (collecting confirmation documents in month closing);
• Assisting with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating reports.

Skills you’ll need to bring:

• Higher education in accounting, finance, or economics (incomplete education is acceptable);
• Basic knowledge of accounting and tax legislation (EU and USA will be a plus);
• Proficiency in working with Excel and other office software;
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and responsibility;
• Willingness to learn and grow in the field of accounting;
• At least Upper-Intermediate English (all documentations are in English);
• Experience with accounting systems is a plus.
