We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Frontend Developer with a strong focus on React JS. This role is mission-based, with the objective to audit, enhance, and optimize our current UI architecture, upgrade React JS libraries, address technical debt, and set up best practices for future UI development. You will collaborate with both junior and senior team members, guiding them through the best practices and ensuring the long-term scalability and maintainability of the frontend system.
This role is pivotal as it will involve not only development but also strategic architectural decisions, with potential for long-term collaboration on future UI development projects.
Project – involves enhancing hybrid cloud solution by automating tests using the Robot Framework.
Experience / Skills required:
Must have:

• Minimum of 8 years in frontend development, with significant expertise in React JS
• Proven experience in architecting and optimizing complex front-end systems
• Strong knowledge of modern Java Script (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and CSS preprocessors (Sass/Less)
• Experience in UI testing with Jest
• Expertise in the following tools/libraries: React 17.0.2, Node.js (v16.20.2), Yarn (v1.22.22), Webpack (v5.5.0), Material UI (v5.6.4), React-Redux (v7.1.1), React-Router-Dom (v5.1.2), Recharts (v2.0.0-beta.1)
• Experience working with component libraries (Storybook)
• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across a multinational and remote team
• Upper-Intermediate English and better

Good to have:

• Familiarity with Keycloak and Docker

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a detailed audit of the existing UI code architecture
• Identify and address technical debt, inefficiencies, and potential improvements
• Lead the upgrade of current React JS libraries from version 17.0.2 to the latest stable version
• Ensure compatibility with other project dependencies and tools
• Propose and implement enhancements to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Ensure the clean-up of technical debt and establish a robust front-end architecture
• Mentor and guide junior UI developers and apprentices
• Work with the team to implement industry best practices for UI development
• Contribute to building a component library using Storybook for efficient UI development
• Document the current and proposed architecture as part of the deliverables
• Collaborate closely with a senior backend developer (Java with React JS knowledge) and other stakeholders
• Communicate effectively with two full-time junior UI developers and other part-time junior apprentices
