Project description
The DC and Cloud solutions team is responsible for the global support of enterprise systems (infrastructure and platforms for enterprise applications) in a large international company. An engineer in our department will need to work with a team focused on improving the resiliency, reliability, and availability of infrastructure components.Responsibilities
Data centers infrastructure improvement and support, work with private cloud (VMware v Realize/Aria Automation suite) and public clouds (Azure, AWS).
Management of virtual machines on virtualization platforms based on Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware v Sphere.
Management of backup systems based on Veeam solutions. Configuring tape libraries and disk storage.
Interaction with corporate systems development groups, participation in the processes of their deployment and updating.
Prompt and adequate resolution of incidents and problems arising in the infrastructure.
Skills
Must have
Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies, (ESXi, v Center in the first place; v SAN, NSX, v RA/AA would be a big plus)
4 years.
Experience with Veeam backup solutions (Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure/AWS)
3 years.
Experience in administration of Windows servers (main server roles)
4 years.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft virtualization technology (Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, Microsoft SCVMM)
4 years.
Hands-on experience with Enterprise-level hardware equipment: servers and storage arrays (Dell in the first place)
2 years.
Strong knowledge of Power Shell.
Understanding the principles of building fault-tolerant systems
Experience in supporting Microsoft SQL Server (2016 and above): installation, configuration, backup tasks, database maintenance, clustering (Always ON Availability Groups), problem solving, ability to write simple SQL queries.
Good understanding of the principles of supplementary network services and technologies (DNS, DHCP, VLAN, etc).
Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS (Compute, Storage, Databases, Automation). Willingness to develop skills in relevant technologies.
Hands-on experience with Git, Terraform, Azure Dev Ops.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Flux CD, Kasten
