Audit Associate Position

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Audit Associate to join our Internal Audit team. The ideal candidate will combine analytical capabilities with excellent interpersonal skills to support audit engagements, interact effectively with stakeholders, and contribute to the department's success.
Required Experience / Professional Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or related field
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams
• Exposure to various business processes and controls

Industry Knowledge

• In-depth understanding of UAE aviation regulations and GCAA requirements
• Familiarity with IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) standards
• Knowledge of aviation safety management systems (SMS)
• Understanding of airline operations, including:
• Flight operations
• Ground handling
• Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO)
• Aviation security
• Revenue management systems

Key Responsibilities
Audit Execution

• Perform audit procedures under supervision of senior team members
• Document work papers and maintain audit evidence
• Conduct process walkthroughs and controls testing
• Assist in preparing audit reports and presentations
• Support special projects and investigations

Technical Responsibilities

• Analyze data and identify patterns or anomalies
• Document business processes and control environments
• Prepare clear and concise audit workpapers
• Support risk assessment activities
• Track audit recommendations and follow-ups

Required Qualifications / Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional certification pursuit (CIA, CPA, ACCA) preferred or in progress
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong active listening abilities
• Collaborative team player
• Professional presence and demeanor
• Ability to build rapport quickly
• Tactful in handling sensitive situations
