Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis I to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Commis I, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the guidance of senior chefs
Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen
Follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately to ensure consistency in food preparation
Perform basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas
Collaborate effectively with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations during service
Support senior chefs in plating and presenting dishes to meet quality standards
Participate in inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Contribute creative ideas for menu development and dish improvements
Continuously learn and develop culinary skills under the mentorship of experienced chefs

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a food and beverage or restaurant operations role preferred
Strong passion for cooking and teamwork
Excellent guest service skills and customer-focused mindset
Knowledge of basic food preparation, presentation, and preservation techniques
Understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety procedures
Physical stamina to work long hours in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately
Basic knife skills and culinary techniques
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary trends and techniques
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
