Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer

Overview:

Applied Technology and Management (ATM) a Geosyntec Company, is seeking an Entry-level Geotechnical Engineer to support project needs in the Dubai, United Arab Emirates office. The selected candidate will support coastal, marine, and structural engineering design projects. We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) intern for approximately 6 months.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools;
Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
Follow instructions and interact with engineers, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors and construction personnel.

Education and Licensure:

Bachelor’s degree in civil, geotechnical, coastal, water resources engineering, or related subject. (required)
Advanced degree in civil, geotechnical, coastal, water resources engineering, or related subject. (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Experience with Mat Lab, Auto CAD, and numerical marine modeling software. (preferred)
Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, and problem-solving skills. (required)
