Lifestyle & Wellbeing Team Leader

Churchfields Care Home is a small friendly and home away from home, we strive to ensure that the residents live a full and meaningful life.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lifestyle & Wellbeing Team Leader to join our team. This position is a minimum of 35 hours per week and will include a mix of mornings, afternoons and evenings. You will also be expected to work every third weekend during the daytime, which will be on a rota with the rest of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and plan activities for the residents
- Ensure all residents are catered for and involved in activities
- Take pictures of activities and events
- Fulfill requests from residents
- Understand dementia and how to incorporate it into activities
- Research and plan engaging activities for residents
- Source outside services for entertainment or new activities
- Engage with the local community as much as possible
- Stay up to date with milestones and celebrate residents' birthdays by asking them what they want to do
- Stay informed about news and special days such as Valentine’s Day, Christmas, and awareness days
- Be computer literate and willing to complete e-learning training
- Document activities, resident of the day, you said we did, magic moments, and events on social media and in-house newsletters/leaflets
- Ability to lead a team of 3 and take charge of supervisions, appraisals and annual leave requests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential as full training will be given)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with elderly individuals
- Knowledge of dementia care practices (preferred but not essential as full training will be given)
- Passion for creating engaging and fulfilling activities for residents
- Able to work within a team and individually
- Previous experience in a team leader position (preferred but not essential)

Pay: £14.50 per hour
