Brighton College Vietnam is a dynamic and exciting school looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Assistant Head (Enrichment and Communication). This is a new role in our developing school. The role will have aspects of whole school responsibility, and the successful candidate will form a part of the College School Leadership team. Responsibilities will include the vision, leadership and management of the College’s Co-Curricular offer, including trips and competitions. Alongside this we are looking for an excellent communicator, who will work loosely with our Marketing and Communications department to help promote the excellent work going on in the school. The successful candidate should be an adaptable and innovative leader, a good motivator and administrator, and should be capable of managing key aspects of an expanding and high-profile British-style international school.
The role reports directly to the Head of College.
This job description is in addition to that of a teacher at Brighton College Vietnam.

- To take on additional responsibilities as agreed with the Head of College
- To be an active member of the College and Senior School Leadership Teams
- To liaise on whole College matters with the Leadership team in the Prep School
- To be highly organised and efficient
- To show initiative in tackling issues in a solution focussed, positive manner
- Reporting to the Head of College and working with the Deputy Heads (Academic) in both schools, Senior School Heads of Department, and Heads of Key Stages on all matters pertaining to Enrichment and communication
- Contribution to the co-curricular activities (CCA) programme to quality assure and support a high standard of offer to ensure a high quality is achieved
- Oversight of the quality assurance of the CCA and trips offer
- Contribute to the Accreditation process in the school
- Ensuring clear and regular communication with parents throughout the year
- Liaison with parents in Parent Rep groups with the Head of College
- Maintaining and developing effective relationships with parents through regular and efficient communication and frequent parent workshops
- Chair the communication working party
- Application for Awards and support in application of Awards with an awareness of deadlines for these and strategic planning to support entries.
- Chair of Half termly whole college calendar planning meeting
- Calendars including the planning calendar and staff calendar
- Oversight of competitions entered across the school
- Link with Marketing to improve awareness of academic matters
- Social media support for the marketing team Development of relevant policies, especially in relation to trips and visits, communications and event management
- Meeting new and prospective parents in line with other members of the Senior Leadership Teams
- CCA/Trips budget holder
- Plan and manage the College CCA programme
- Plan and manage the annual Brighton College Lecture Series
- Plan and manage the College annual residential trips programme
- Contributing to the production of the College Development Plan with a particular interest in the co-curricular offer, awards and communication.
- Oversight and evaluation of Enrichment including CCAs, Competitions and trips
- Responsibility for exploring improved methods of communication with parents, pupils and staff
- To support and be involved with Marketing events as necessary
- Contribution and leadership of any aspects of accreditation and inspection as necessary
- A reduced teaching timetable
- Contribution to the CCA and / or the Enrichment programme
- A good UK Honours Degree (or equivalent)
- A distinguished record of teaching
- A strong record of professional development
- Relevant recent experience as a member of a Senior Leadership Team or as an inspirational Head of Department
- A Masters-level or equivalent degree in Education or Educational Leadership would be desirable
