Customs Officer

- Handle complex Import/Exports to make sure all DAV customs processes run smoothly and legally
- Controlling/Monitoring of all Customs processes done by Customs broker for DAV plants
- Plan and administer the budget in his/her area of responsibility
- In case: develop and implement personnel planning in his/her area of responsibility, make sure qualified personnel are hired
- Management skills of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks, incentives related to duties and taxes
- Develop department specific goals
- Ensures Vietnam and Foreign compliance and documentary requirements associated with Customs.
- Monitors divisional compliance with Customs requirements, including record keeping and documentation
- Provides documentation of customs workflows and regulations in DAV plant (Compliance manual)
- Maintain the good relationship to Customs, MOIT (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and other related authorities by the rules of DRX compliance
- Responsible for Customs related application processes, monitoring expiry dates and volumes and apply in time for new products
- In case: Monitor usage of bank guarantee including measurements to decrease the amount ( Duty and VAT)
- Gather necessary information from DRX Customs HQ Germany
- Works with other departments such as sales, purchasing, and joint ventures to formulate policies and procedures to ensure Customs compliance and/or qualification for preferential export/duty drawback treatment => Form D, Local Content calculation
- Participation in new location setups/programs in regard to Customs and duties.
- Responsible for application of Customs related scrapping/sell/export raw materials.
- Assist with HTS review of series/non-series material; also provides guidance and support on classification of special goods, equipment and machinery as needed.
- Analysis/Monitoring of changes/adjustments in Foreign Trade/ local Vietnamese Customs rules and laws
- Participation in the selection of Customs Broker (RFQ)
- Participation in annually Asian Customs Workshops worldwide
- Continuously Risk assessment
