Preferred by Nature is conducting field data collection work in Tay Ninh (Vietnam), and Buri Ram, Surin, Khon Kaen (Thailand). We are currently looking for enumerators to collect data from rubber farmers in the area.
What you can expect:
As an Enumerator, you will be responsible for collecting reliable and high-quality data from rubber farmers and dealers. Your duties will include conducting daily field visits, accurately recording data, and adhering to the established guidelines and protocols. You will also participate in coordination meetings with the Team Coordinator and provide regular updates on your progress to ensure daily targets are met.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field-visit to collect data from farmers using traceability mobile apps. The data includes polygon mapping of farmer’s plantation, fill in questionnaire, and coordinate mapping for facilities and infrastructures such as school, hospitals, etc.
• Work with rubber traders and support their adoption of the tool.
• Achieve daily target of up to 5 farmers data per day, equal to 429 farmers data in total of 4,5 months.
• Communicate regularly with the Team Coordinator, reporting challenges and providing updates on data collection activities.

Important that you:

• Have a high school diploma or bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., a degree in agriculture, environmental science, geography, or related fields is preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Prior experience in data collection, field surveys, or agricultural research is desirable.
• Understanding of the local geography, culture, and agricultural practices in the target regions (Tay Ninh Province in Vietnam and Buri Ram, Surin, Kon Khaen Province in Thailand).
• Based in the target regions are preferred.
• Must own a reliable motorbike to travel to various field locations independently.
• Must possess a functional mobile phone capable of running data collection applications and maintaining regular communication with the team.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with farmers, dealers, and team members.
• Ability to conduct interviews and gather qualitative data.
• Ability to travel to remote areas and work in challenging field conditions.
• Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods.
