What You’ll Do
As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you’ll be part of our Global Tools & Storage team located in Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park 1, No. 35, Independent Avenue, Binh Hoa Ward, Thuan An Town, Binh Duong Province, Vietnam. Your working hours will be 48 hours/week.
You’ll get to:
1. Manufacturing Excellence:
- Provide leadership for all plant engineering activities, including the design, installation, and maintenance of equipment and processes.
- Ensure plant operations are supported with well-designed, productive, and efficient equipment.
- Partner with Productivity/Continuous Improvement teams to drive operational improvements.
- Advocate Design for Manufacturability principles with Product Engineering for plant efficiency.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are aligned to achieve desired manufactured end-products, including changes in manufacturing processes for changes in design specifications.
- Oversee the technical portion of Capex within the plant and Capex execution, as required.
- Support Maintenance and Facilities with technical expertise for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Lead cross functional teams though the preparation, execution, and follow up of continuous improvement projects.
- Validate new processes, optimize current processes (e.g., changeovers), implement and train different functions on new tools, and ensure employee capability is being built.
- Implement improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Lean to optimize resource allocation and achieve cost-efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety guidelines and regulations.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Take ownership of the value stream, including production planning, material flow, and quality control.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement lean principles, reduce lead times, and improve process efficiency.
- Develop and execute strategies to meet KPIs related to cost, quality, and delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of manufacturing professionals, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with HR for recruiting and training needs.
- Evaluate team members based on productivity, quality, and attendance metrics.

1. Education: Bachelor degree or above in mechanical related department. Master's degree is a plus.
2. Experiences: 07+ years of field experience in manufacturing management, preferably in a high-volume production environment.
3. Skills / Personalities:
- Exhibit SBD Seven Leadership traits: Accountability, Integrity, Respect, Vision, Boundless, Stretch, Speed
- Mature in computer mechanical drawing Auto CAD and other relevant software.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, project planning, cost control, program management, and of industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Change management: good time management & effective decision-making under pressure and time constraints.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project management and Capex execution.
- LEAN, KAIZEN, GEMBA
- Ability to adapt to a fast, dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Have a global mindset, able to perform in a competitive approach on work.
