Job Title: National Commercial Manager
Location: Vietnam
About the role:
The NCM – Public and General Customers will play a critical role in shaping the strategy towards a sustainable growth of Takeda’s Vaccine in Vietnam from commercial perspective and with a focus on customers at public sectors and other general accounts in private sector.
How you will contribute:
Following are the areas of focus for the position of NCM – Public and General Customers at Takeda Vietnam:
People Leadership:
- Take the lead in setting up a fresh, dynamic and capable team including Regional managers and Medical Representatives. The number of headcounts may be expanded upon the growth of the business over time.
- Take the challenge of coaching and training team members on technical skills and soft skills within a short time frame
- Providing prompt coaching, guidance, feedback and support to maximize team's performance in long term.
- Develop and build a high-performance team and the source of talents for Takeda
- Being the role model in ensuring highest standard in conducting all Field force engagement with HCPs and customers in compliance with internal/external requirement.
Customer Management
- Be the first point of contact for customers in Public and General accounts for all queries related to Vaccine
- Set up the foundation for KOL and HCP engagement plan for the team.
- Define annual strategic direction and quarterly action plan for customer engagement at Public and General customers that will be aligned with overall Vaccine business and brand strategy.
- Take the lead to guide the entire team to build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and partners, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored solutions with excellence.
- Work closely with the NSM- Strategic(peer) in charge of Strategic Customers, marketing team and medical team to ensure Takeda image to KOLs and HCPs across channels nationwide.
Commercial Performance Excellence
- Define SMART KPIs in terms of Territory target and Field Force Effectiveness for the dedicated team and its team members.
- Drive a culture of commercial excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure aligning the entire team’s activities with the Vaccine BU’s objectives and marketing plans.
- Work with 3rd party to lead and manage tender process for optimizing the business opportunities towards public accounts when and where is required.
- Coordinate with cross team in customer complaint handling if there is.
- Work effectively with Marketing and Commercial Excellence colleagues for forecasting, target planning and allocation, data tracking, consolidation and analysis, including but not limited to tender, promotional scheme at vaccination centers for Takeda’s vaccine and other vaccine that may impact team’s performance.
- Stay abreast of market information and market trend (including updated news on regulation related to our business, customer insights, market insights, commercial performance at account level and in-arm data of our vaccine, etc.) to guide the team.
- Budget Management
- Take full accountability of managing Budget assigned for Public and General Customers channel (external activities and internal team members).
What you bring to Takeda:
Education and Experience Requirements
Essential:
- Mandatory to hold a university degree in medicine or pharmacy
- 5-8 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in people leadership
- Compliance mind-set is a must
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Vietnamese
Desired:
- Experience in vaccine, regardless of role and responsibilities

Complexity and Problem Solving
- Hiring and selection of team members (manager level and medical sales representatives)
- Customer complaint handling
- External handling regarding supply matter of Strategic Customers vs. Public and General Customers
