Position: Project Engineer

Reports To: Senior Project Engineering Manager

Direct Reports: N/A

Role Objectives: Ensure products meet PS date and production runs smoothly

Work Location: Hai Phong

Work Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

Requirements

2-4 years in product development of toys related industry

Qualifications in Engineering background preferred

Possess the knowledge and skills of Toy Regulations, project management, DFM, Basic in CAD, tool building and toy manufacturing processes, product & tooling costs

Good command of written and oral English

Ability to communicate in Chinese is an advantage

Responsibilities:

Evaluate BOM and Tool Plan from finished goods factories according to Quote Package

Assist Engineering Lead to ensure and report the development schedule

Evaluate the 1st shots against Model CAD and engineering prototypes

Ensure the quality and timely delivery of toy fair model/samples

Evaluate engineering pilot samples and follow up the modifications

Ensure product function, aesthetics and packaging structure meeting requirements

On-site review on production line setup

Prepare engineering reports and related documents

Provide best in class ideas to achieve target cost

Ensure committed production capacity in technical perspective

Visit mold maker & finished good factory closely

Contacts: Have frequent contact with the following internal and external parties:

Internal: Product Manager, Product Design team, Engineering team, Operation team, QA, QC, Costing team, Merchandizing team from different countries

External: Model shop, Tooling shop, Factory, Printer, Blister supplier, IC software house
