Quality Engineer

Job purposes

• In this position, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for the professional management of (potential) product deviations, to perform internal production process audits and product reviews to ensure continuous improvement, avoidance of reoccurrences, reduction of rework and scrap rate.

  • Professional management of (potential) product deviations
  • Reduction of rework & scrap rate
  • Implementation of sustainable corrective actions and preventive measures

Major Accountabilities

• Preparation and reporting at QM SFM
• Manage and coordinate (potential) product deviations
  • Risk assessment and prioritization of (potential) product deviations
  • Application of problem solving methods
  • Moderation and delegation of work packages to subject matter expert
  • Consolidation of results and decision marking for immediate actions and corrective/ preventive measures
  • Escalation of complaints
• Conduct production process audits
• Conduct reviews and releases for NPI and product transfers from different production locations
• Application of improvements across all production areas
• Traceability of product and production process
• Manage and coordinate delivery, production and store locks as well as rework and scrap activities
• Other tasks as assigned by manager

Job Specifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering majors (Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering…)
• At least 3 years’ working experience in Quality (IPQC), maintain the quality process and product in mass production of electronics/automation devices Proficient in Data Analytics and Data management skills
• Familiar with production processes applied for industrial sensors and process automation devices
• Must-have:
  • Working with/knowledge of electronic components
  • Good experience in root cause analysis and problem solving methods
  • Practical knowledge of IPC Standards/ certification
  • Understanding of SMT processes
