Teem is seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our financial team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency, while offering insights that will drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record in high-level financial management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards
- Manage general ledger activities and entries
- Coordinate audits and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting documentation
- Support senior management with financial analysis and decision-making
- Guide and mentor junior accounting staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of accounting regulations, principles, and procedures (including GAAP)
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books and Fresh Books.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Experience with financial reporting and budget management
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- CPA or CMA certification is desirable
