Responsibilities

• Strategy Development: Define and implement the overall data strategy for the company, aligning with Emi Labs’ mission to increase Frontline Workers' access to professional opportunities.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing data team from the ground up, ensuring continuous growth and development of team members.
• Data Infrastructure: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support real-time analytics, data-driven decision-making, and machine learning models.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure data-driven strategies are incorporated into product development and operational processes.
• Data Governance: Establish and maintain robust data governance practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Insights and Reporting: Lead efforts to analyze data trends and generate actionable insights that will inform key business decisions.
• Innovation: Leverage data to identify new opportunities for optimizing recruitment processes, and improving both candidate and employer experiences.

What we are looking for

• Experience: 10+ years of experience working in data, with at least 5 years leading and managing data teams. Experience in building teams from scratch is highly desirable.
• Technical Expertise: Strong technical skills in data engineering, data architecture, and analytics. Proficiency in technologies such as SQL, Python, R, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), DBT, and data visualization tools.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in developing and executing data strategies that align with business goals. Experience working with senior leadership to drive data-driven initiatives.
• Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and foster a data-driven culture within the company.

Nica to have

• AI/ML Expertise: Experience working with AI or machine learning models, especially within recruitment, talent acquisition, or similar industries.
