We're looking for an experienced Localization Project Manager based in Argentina, or anywhere in South America, who has the ability to work Monday-Friday 40 hours from 8am-5pm PST // 11am-8pm EST.
As a Localization Project Manager, you'll join a vibrant, collaborative team supporting a global leader in sports apparel. We're looking for a candidate with at least three years of experience in the localization industry who deeply understands both the process and the unique challenges it presents. What You’ll Do:
- Lead and Decide: You’ll be in charge of multiple localization projects, making sure things run smoothly and solving any issues that come up along the way.
- Keep Everyone in the Loop: You’ll stay connected with stakeholders, your team, and global partners, providing regular updates and keeping everyone aligned.
- Support Your Team: Your role is to make life easier for your team and partners, helping them succeed and removing roadblocks where you can.
- Manage all stages of localization and globalization projects, from kick-off to quality checks to final review.
- Work with product teams to ensure that digital content and UX designs are localization-friendly and meet best practices.
- Outline project scope, gather requirements, manage risks, and build a solid project schedule.
- Oversee testing and bug-fixing for linguistic quality assurance (LQA) and UI validation.
- Juggle multiple projects at once, focusing on digital platforms like Commerce in the Cloud, Web Experiences, and Apps.
- Apply best practices, like using translation management systems (TMS) and keeping glossaries up-to-date.
- Be the go-to person for global partners, supporting linguists, language specialists, and brand teams.
- Keep track of projects using JIRA and ensure deadlines and objectives are met.
- 2-4 years of experience managing localization projects, preferably using agile methods.
- Strong decision-making skills—you can confidently solve problems and make sure projects stay on track.
- Leadership qualities that help guide your team and ensure tasks get done.
- Great communication skills, making sure everyone is informed and on the same page.
- Flexibility in handling uncertainty, and finding solutions even when information is limited.
- A critical mindset—you’re always looking for ways to improve processes and challenge assumptions.
- A supportive attitude—you’re eager to help others succeed.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is a must.
