Our Opportunity
Currently we have three vacancies for Production Operators/Bakery Assistants, in our baking production facility in Darwin. The Operator is an integral member of the baking team. The role will make a strong contribution to a high performing production team and team culture within the Darwin site. These positions are integral to the success output of our daily fresh products to the community. Reporting into a Team Manager you will work as part of the operations team to ensure that –our daily fresh bread products are produced and packaged in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner, ensuring quality and food safety standards are met.
You will need a willingness and an aptitude to learn and a history in manufacturing or machine line operations. To ensure success in this role you will have good communication and be committed to following processes and procedures. Interacting with a variety of people will come naturally to you, and while you will actively contribute to the team you will be disciplined enough to work autonomously.

The shift patterns available for the Baker's Assistants are:
Monday 6:15am-4:15pm
Tuesday 8:15am-6:15pm
Friday 8:15am-6:15pm
Saturday 9:15pm-7:15pm

Wednesday 6:00am-4:00pm
Thursday 6:00am-4:00pm
Friday 6:00am-4:00pm
Saturday 7:00am-5:00pm

The shift patterns available for the Production/Slicing Operator is:
Monday 6:15am-4:15pm
Tuesday 8:15am-6:15pm
Friday 8:15am-6:15pm
Saturday 9:15am-7:15pm

Key accountabilities of the role include:

• Operation of machinery and equipment on the processing lines
• Adhering to the company's Health and Safety/Food Safety (HACCP) policy and procedures
• Performs effective on line quality checks, product evaluation and monitoring.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area

About You

• 2yrs+ experience in Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment (desirable
• Experience in Food handling/Food processing industry
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work autonomously
• Effective oral and written communication.
• A focus on safe working practices
• Willingness and aptitude to learn
