EXPERIENCED CASUAL ANIMAL ATTENDANT
Are you passionate about animals and looking for an opportunity to work closely with them in a caring and supportive environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic casual Animal Attendant to join our team.
Responsibilities:

• Be involved in the day-to-day operations of our cat hotel, including check-ins, check-outs, and ensuring all guests receive proper care and attention.
• Assist veterinary staff in handling and restraining animals during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal housing areas, ensuring a comfortable and sanitary environment for our guests.
• Feed, groom, and exercise animals according to their individual needs and schedules.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
• Assist clients at reception and on the phone and provide exceptional customer service, addressing their inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Engage with cats in play and enrichment activities to ensure they remain stimulated and happy during their stay.
• Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medication administration, and any observations or concerns noted.

Requirements:

• Minimum one year's experience working in a professional animal care setting, preferably with cats.
• Roster flexibility over four days including weekends
• Genuine passion for animal welfare and a desire to provide the best possible care to our furry guests.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and animals of all temperaments.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed.

Pay: $24.00 – $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week

• 10 hour shift

• Afternoon shift
• Day shift
• Morning shift
• Public holidays
• Rotating roster
• Weekend availability

Education:

• High School (Year 9-11) (Preferred)

Experience:

• Animal Attendant: 1 year (Required)
