The Role


We have an opening for a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our finance team. This is a full-time permanent role based in Adelaide CBD. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the efficient running of the Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, your role will span a variety of accounting functions, providing exposure to both day-to-day financial operations and more complex accounting activities.


The role also involves participating in continuous improvement initiatives, where your insights and ideas will contribute to streamlining processes and procedures. You will have the opportunity to support various ad-hoc projects within the finance team, making this a diverse role that will offer you opportunities to develop your accounting skills further.


The key duties in this role will include:

• Accurately prepare and process invoices, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
• Work closely with program teams to gather necessary documentation and information for billing.
• Assist with income receipting and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable processes as required.
• Perform reconciliations of accounts.
• Provide assistance during month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining processes and procedures as needed.

About You


You are an organised and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles. You have experience working in a similar role and are confident in handling invoice processing, accounts payable, and general financial administration. You thrive in a team environment, have excellent communication skills, and are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement. You are comfortable working with various financial systems and have a strong sense of responsibility.


Essential Criteria

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance.
• Experience in invoice processing and accounts payable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of Technology One Financials (desirable)
• Previous experience working in non – profit sector (desirable)

Prior to receiving a formal offer of employment with Centacare, the following documents must be provided for this role:
