We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant or Graduate Accountant to join our very busy and highly varied Accounts department based in Southport. This role would suit a qualified accountant ready to take the next step in their career. Due to the nature of this busy role, a positive attitude with a hands-on approach is required.

What the role briefly entails:

Deal Processing functions; cost accounting
Allocation of funds receivables
General journals
Preparation of the monthly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance to accounting standards
Extensive Balance Sheet reconciliations
Reporting & Analysis of P&L statements
Assist in the statutory tax reporting namely, GST, LCT, FBT and PAYG
Cash flow management
Assist in external audit preparation/requirements
Manufacturer reporting
Support for the Dealership Accountant
Work on projects where necessary as directed by the Financial Controller
Effective communication with Managers and employees alike from various departments

What we are looking for:

Either an experienced Assistant Accountant or Graduate Accountant (Tax and Audit background encouraged to apply)
Either an Accounting Degree (highly desirable) or any accounting study will be viewed highly, or working towards
Automotive Dealership background not essential, but desirable
An ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
Strong communication skills both within a department and with stakeholders in the broader Group
Strong attention to detail
High analytical skills
Advanced Excel skills
