The Rehabilitation Unit provides subacute services and is based on the Rockhampton Hospital Campus. It is a specialised area of care committed to restoring and maintaining the optimum level of function of the individual and significant others, enabling them to achieve their lifestyle goals.

About the role:
The Nurse Unit Manager will appropriately delegate and supervise all duties and responsibilities of the Assistant in Nursing. Responsibilities include a combination of product and clinical stock procurement, stock/equipment distribution and quality activities. These responsibilities are all designed to provide Nursing/Midwifery team support to support consumer/person centred care.
The three core responsibilities of the AIN in Rehabilitation Services are:

• Timely and efficient control and distribution of clinical stores and stock, whilst ensuring accuracy, financial integrity, and stability.
• Ensuring the purchasing and maintenance of equipment and plant is of a high standard.
• Quality activities at the direction of the NUM.

About you:
Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, it is highly desirable to have completed a relevant Certificate III or successfully completed equivalent of 12 months full time study in a Diploma of Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing program.

• Ability to communicate respectfully and thoughtfully with other staff, patients, and carers.
• Ability to use negotiation skills to avoid conflict and work with others.

What we offer:Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $43,283 p.a. is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $33.20 - $36.35 p.h.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
