About the Venue
Following an interior refurbishment, the Rocksia Hotel now boasts a state-of-the-art sports lounge, a complete bistro makeover and dedicated function space in the upper level of the venue. The Rocksia Hotel has a focus on delivering friendly professional service, a fun atmosphere and has something for everyone with a new sport bar, best in class gaming facilities and food and beverage outlets.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated team player to fill the role of Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the venue, leading a team to deliver outstanding service to our guests. As the Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall operations and success of the Rocksia Hotel. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to grow their career in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
- Contribute to the training and development of team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Be a hands-on leader, motivating the team to achieve venue and company goals.
- Assist the Venue Manager with scheduling, payroll management, ordering of stock and venue compliance & safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service by resolving issues, addressing customer inquiries, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the management team to oversee and enhance operational processes, develop and implement venue policies for efficiency.
- Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels to optimise stock availability and minimise excess or shortages.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager in a hospitality setting
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Current RSA and RCG certifications (ARCG highly regarded)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
