The Position
  • Manage large-scale production for catering, events, and multiple outlets, focusing on efficiency, and maintaining quality
  • Prepare and submit reports to Executive Chef and Operational Team
  • Develop and execute weekly rosters and work schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels aligned with business demands
  • Develop menus and meal plans catering to dietary and cultural requirements
  • Implement catering control procedures (portion control, stock control, food storage)
  • Cost menus to meet enterprise budgetary constraints
The Person
  • Trade qualified chef
  • Minimum of four (4) years of documented work experience with references demonstrating expertise and experience
  • Proven track record in successfully leading and managing teams within a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Previous menu and nutrition planning
  • A good understanding of operating a catering operation within strict budgetary constraints
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional demeanour
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a focus on optimising efficiency and productivity
  • Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining operational excellence
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in English, adept at conveying directives and fostering teamwork
  • Availability for flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
