Barista / Assistant Supervisor

Position Overview:
As Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to oversee daily activities, maintain inventory, and uphold our commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about coffee culture and eager to contribute to a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manager the day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure that all customers receive friendly, efficient service and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the cafe.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as necessary.
- Rostering and managing payroll in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling procedures and cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and implement strategies for increasing sales and improving overall performance.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the food service industry.
- Passion for coffee and strong barista skills, able to produce free pour latte art.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- · Food handler's certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Pay: From $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
