The Role
We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at Melbourne office. This role will work closely with our clients and site team to ensure our projects are constructed in accordance with design specifications in the safest and most cost-effective manner. The successful applicant will be required to perform following the key duties and tasks:
- Prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates for construction projects Prepare contracts, bid specifications and progress status reports
- Conduct site inspection to monitor the project progress in line with the schedule and to ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards
- Organise and coordinate site management, assuring availability of equipment, materials and staffing as well as the compliance with occupational health and safety on site
- Monitor work of contractors and oversee project expenditures to ensure the control over quality and budget
- Review drawings and analyse relevant data collected on site in order to identify engineering problems and potential structural defects
- Serve as internal technical support, providing consultation on civil engineering related matters
- Liaise with the clients or their representative in response to their technical, contractual and scheduling enquiries
- To be considered for this role, applicants shall possess the following:
- Relevant Bachelor or above degree, preferably Civil Engineering, Ideally not less than 2 years experience in the industry
- Solid civil knowledge foundation desirably with structural and site management experience
- Good Communication skills
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Australia (Preferred)
