About us:
Maternity Services at the Emerald Hospital is the main birthing hub for the Central Highland district and caters for approximately 350 births annually. The Antenatal Clinic offers ambulatory antenatal care and education, the Antenatal/Postnatal ward offers inpatient care, the Birth Suites offer care during labour and birth.

About the role:
A Clinical Midwife is a Registered Midwife who is accountable at an advanced level for the coordination of clinical practice delivered in a clinical specialty. This position provides leadership and support to nursing and medical staff and supports the delivery of competent, best practice quality nursing care, while working in collaboration with the line Manager of the unit.

• Demonstrate advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, and expert planning and coordination skills in clinical management.
• Utilising clinical leadership principles, key internal and external partners, facilitate the development and implementation of strategic organisational goals for CQHHS by implementing the CQHHS Strategic Plan and Model of Care.

About you:

• Registration as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
• While not mandatory, it is highly desirable to have post graduate qualifications in the clinical area of expertise.

What we offer:Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $156,065 p.a. (Includes additional 35% caseload allowance) is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h. (additional 35% caseload allowance)
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
