Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Consultant or Psychologist / Social Worker / Occupational Therapist - Senior to provide community based mental health outreach services within the Assertive Youth Mobile Outreach Service (AMYOS) to young people with severe and complex mental health problems and disorders, and their families and carers, with the purpose of minimising the impact this has on their lives through a range of multi-systemic, and recovery orientated interventions.
Assertive Youth Mobile Outreach Service (AMYOS) is a part of an overall treatment strategy integrated with Child & Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) inpatient and community based mental health treatment services to enhance continuity in service provision.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Provide intensive, developmentally appropriate, community-centred, mental health interventions and ongoing assessment for adolescents who require higher intensity (level and mode of contact and range of interventions/services, including risk assessment, crisis management, and safety planning) treatment, rehabilitation, and support to recover from mental illness.
• Deliver independent high level Psychology / Social Work / Occupational Therapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
• Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
• Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.

Remuneration value up to $164 212 p.a., comprising salary between $132 562 - $133 901 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (Nurse Grade 7) or Remuneration value up to $152 776 p.a., comprising salary between $124 435 - $133 901 p.a., (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4).
