Position Information
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.
About the Role
To be successful in the role you will need to have strong planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to enable you to work effectively with others. Within this role, you will work independently and within a team environment.
You will perform a range of tasks including general cooking duties, preparation of standard meals, baking and pastry cooking. You will supervise kitchen staff and ensure that food preparation equipment is cleaned and maintained. You will supervise stock control tasks and oversee the supervision and training of staff. This will include preparing duty rosters and allocating duties. You will monitor compliance with health and safety guidelines and procedures.
