About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Deputy Operations Manager, you will be responsible to efficiently and safely transport specimens, equipment, paperwork and stores between Collection Centre, Medical Centres, hospitals or any other health care provider as required via e Bike. You will have the capacity to work comfortably under tight deadlines to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of items.
This role is suited to a person who is physically able to carry out the demands of this role. Experience riding an e Bike/scooter desirable but not essential. Safety equipment and induction/training will be provided. You will be available to work day shift, Monday to Friday 8am to 12pm. On occasion, you may be required to work as a Courier using a fleet vehicle. If you have experience as a Courier within medical/healthcare industry and have knowledge of metropolitan Adelaide and feel confident riding an e Bike, we strongly encourage you to apply!

Duties:

• deliveries between Clinpath collection centres, medical surgeries, hospitals and Clinpath laboratories;
• A good understanding of road rules for both car and bike and confidence riding an e-Bike;
• Picking up pathology specimens and transporting according to protocols;
• Deliver of hard copy reports where appropriate;
• Delivery of stores supplies to surgeries and Clinpath collection centres;
• Customer service and liaising with surgery staff; and
• Compliance and adherence to Clinpath policies and procedures and WHS procedures.

Applicants should possess the following:

• Previous riding an e Bike/scooter experience preferred but not essential;
• Physically able to undertake e-Bike courier duties;
• The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment as well as autonomously without direct supervision;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• A professional approach in both presentation and conduct;
• The ability and willingness to work shifts at short notice;
• Reliable and available to work day shift 8am to 12pm;
• A current National Police Certificate - Unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups (current for 3 years from date of issue);
• A driving history report;
• The right to work in Australia;
• Provide evidence of COVID 19 vaccination including booster.
