Data Center IT Operations Technician
Sydney
FULL TIME

- 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
- 1+ years of computer networking experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will help create and maintain documentation on the technologies you support and be the primary escalation point for junior staff. Key job responsibilities
- Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs
- Diagnose and repair issues for server, storage and network devices, including the physical replacement of parts.
- Remediation or recovery of physical power issues on racks and participate in Data Center power & cooling events.
- Shift work (4 days on and 4 days off including night shifts on a rotational basis).
- This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment using our lifting equipment.
- Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and their own vehicle to travel between sites.
Diverse Experiences
AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.

- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of server hardware and components

- Hands-on experience with one or more of the follow hardware platforms (e.g. Dell, HP, Supermicro) is a plus.
