Digital Prepress/ Printing Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Digital Prepress or Printing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the prepress and printing process, ensuring that all digital files are correctly prepared for printing. This role requires proficiency in various design software, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the prepress and print productions. The Digital Prepress or Print Operators will work closely with designers, clients, and account managers, and the production team to ensure that all printed materials meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare digital files for printing.
- Perform preflight checks to ensure files meet printing standards.
- Create and review proofs for accuracy and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve prepress and printing issues.
- Ensure colour accuracy and consistency across all printed materials.
- Prepare and optimize files for various printing methods.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the production team.
- Conduct quality control checks on final printed materials.
- Ensure compliance with all printing specifications and guidelines.
- Collaborate with designers, clients, account managers, and production teams.
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in Prepress Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a prepress role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Strong understanding of color theory and color management.
- Experience with preflight software and RIP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of various printing methods and techniques.
- Familiarity with PDF workflows and file optimization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Australia (Preferred)
