Your Opportunity
Join our dynamic team at the Domestic and Family Violence Service, where you’ll make a meaningful impact on the lives of families in the Nowra and Shellharbour South Coast NSW LGA. This is an exciting opportunity to provide vital support to families with children under 18, helping them achieve safety and security. • Help families navigate and access universal and specialist services within the local service system.
  • Collaborate with Mission Australia and The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) to adhere to program guidelines and stay informed on relevant legislation to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Engage families identified as low risk of significant harm, working in partnership with DCJ.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with children, families, agency staff, and communities.
  • Fulfill mandatory reporting requirements in accordance with DCJ and Mission Australia policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with co-workers, community partners, and external agencies for consultation, referrals, networking, training, community development, and family advocacy.
  • Create and maintain individualized case management files for all clients, following Mission Australia protocols.
  • Complete various internal and external reports related to clients and the program, including referral forms, safety and risk assessments, family strengths and needs assessments, home visiting and parenting program plans, and childcare records.
  • Attend regular program and site staff meetings.
